I accepted a position at Fayette County High School teaching 9th and 10th grade English! I also may be helping with the dance team and potentially assisting with the theater dept (choreographing for musicals and such but who knows!) I'd like to slowly add more things to my plate than right off the bat, because I keep hearing how hard the first year can be!
I accepted a job at Westside High School in Macon teaching 10th and 11th English!! I might be helping out with the cross-country and track teams, but I'm not sure! Go Seminoles!!!! Wo Hooo..I'm pumped!! Congrats Adam and Joye :)
I accepted a job at Henry County High School teaching 11th and 12th graders (American and British Lit). I will also be doing a GA High School Graduation Writing Test Prep Class. I am extremely excited!
I am teaching 8th grade Language Arts at Riverwatch Middle School in Forsyth County! I am also going to be the 7th grade basketball cheerleading coach! I recently got a FB message from a girl that graduated from GCSU Middle Grades Cohort and she's teaching 8th grade math there, so I have a buddy, yay! During the first semester we spend a lot of time preparing the students for the 8th grade writing test so if anyone has great ideas send them my way! We also get to read some great books, including my favorite, To Kill a Mockingbird!
I, like LB, also accepted a job at Henry County High School. I'll be teaching five sections of 9th grade English and will be the head coach of the varsity softball team. We start workshops in two weeks and our first day of school is August 1st-I can't believe how fast everything is approaching!
I'll be teaching 9th & 10th grade English Genre Studies & one section of Drama at Madison County High School in Danielsville, Ga. I'll also be starting the school's first literary magazine. What a great year for us all!
Jessica and Natasha got jobs in Hancock County at the high school. Economics and Brit lit maybe? Hopefully they will post their exact jobs. That brings us to at least 13 jobs I think. Are there some that are missing from this list?
I'll be teaching 7th grade Language Arts at Feagin Mll Middle in Warner Robins! I'm also the 8th grade cheerleading coach. I'm very excited congrats to everyone on their jobs!!!
I was interviewed and hired in the same day, which was TODAY! I will be teaching at Eastside High School in Covington, GA! I am very excited to say the least! Specifically, I will be teaching 5 periods during the day, three 9th grade classes and two 10th grade classes.
I hear on the interwebs that Covington is the new Hollywood, so I am super excited about the town's rep and location- finally close to the ATL! Remember the Titans, The Dukes of Hazard, and The Vampire Diaries were/are filled in this town, so I might be stalking film crews from time to time...hehehe...
Hi everyone! So sorry for the delay. I did receive a job at Warner Robins High School. I'm teaching 11th American Lit and 12th grade British Lit. I plan to help with golf in the spring as well as student council. Congrats to everyone! :>
I will be working at Twin Rivers Middle School in Gwinnett County!!!!!! I am so excited!!!( better late than never.. Right? Ha) I will be working with ASD students in the general Ed classroom setting! I am taking the special Ed GACE in the next few months so wish me luck!!
